Every piece is one of a kind. The wood decides the design as much as the hand does.

Pieces made by hand from start to finish by one person. Numbered editions and a QR engraved on each one, with its provenance record and the story it gathers.

One person, from first cut to finish.

Every Zen Artefatos piece is made by hand, from beginning to end, by one person. No two are alike: the wood decides the design as much as the hand does.

The pieces come in numbered editions and carry an engraved QR that opens their own page: the record, the woods of origin and the story they gather with whoever uses them.

An object for everyday use, to give or to keep in sight, made to last and to be handed down through generations.

The noble species

Every log has its own density, scent and resin. We work with reclaimed, demolition or sustainably sourced hardwoods.

From raw log to the table

In a world of serial production, each piece is made at the pace of silence, observation and respect for the grain.

  1. Listening to the wood

Choosing the plank, reading its moisture, knots, stable checks and live edges.

  2. Roughing and shaping by hand

Traditional carbon-steel planes and chisels, keeping the grain’s own texture.

  3. Inlays and numbering

Fitting the brass details and engraving the edition number and the provenance QR.

  4. Food-safe sealing

Successive coats of mineral oil and a handmade beeswax balm.

About the process

If a piece calls to you, the conversation is direct.

No middlemen, no shopping cart: you talk to the person who designed and made the piece, about woods, commissions or reserving a number.
